Welcome to éan, the home of handmade, essential oil filled candles.

As a candle enthusiast and believer in aromatherapy, I have had a difficult time finding different candles to correspond to my different moods and emotional needs. I know this may sound silly, but it's true! Scents play a huge part in our moods, and for me, fake smelling apple cinnamon scented candles just don't do it for me. As someone who has studied essential oils over the past five years and played mad scientist by blending different oils, I decided that I needed to make my own candles to calm, to stimulate, to heal, and to invigorate.

Each candle is inspired by a bird of Celtic folklore. Their stories, combined with certain colors, essential oils, flower essences, and a knowledge of aromatherapy, color correspondence, and magic, charge each candle with purpose, whether it be to increase strength and vitality or to clear the mind and open paths for communication. When you light these candles, focus on your intent - whether it be for better communication between you and a friend, a promotion at work, or love, and then light the candle, knowing that your energy and desires are being heard by the universe.

I use Ecosoya pillar blend wax to make my candles and pure, premium essential oils to scent them. Why essential oils? Essential oils are natural oils that contain the “essence” of a plant; they are the liquid or resin that is distilled, pressed or extracted from different parts of the plant – leaves, flowers, bark, berries, etc. In some instances where an essential oil is not available - for example, there is no way to purely derive the essential oil from lilac - I use phthalate free fragrances. I only use this fragrance oils when there is absolutely no choice of essential oils for a particular scent I am looking for.

Know that when you are buying a candle from éan, you are filling your home with a natural, beautiful aroma.

FYI: Shipping is overestimated - I will ALWAYS refund any overages for shipping!!!! Candle shipping is priced as if each customer were to only buy two candles...the most shipping has ever cost was $12, and that was for seven candles being sent across the country!
