The ficus trees in these photos are ubiquitous in the L.A. area, so much so that they often go unnoticed unless a homeowner has issues with their tenacious roots. I like the sense of volume and mass these trees exhibit, and shot these pictures using a 4x5 view camera and Polaroid Type 55 film.
