Emerge Global...we are a community grounded in compassion and conviction, believing in the vitality of self-worth, personal beauty, and change. At our heart is the Emerge Bead Program, which began at Ma-Sevana, the only facility in Sri Lanka for young mothers, ages ten to eighteen, who are survivors of rape or incest. Drawing on the quiet simplicity of basic tools and unassuming jars of beads, the Bead Program enables these persevering women to rediscover their inner beauty. Each piece featured in our gallery below is handmade by a young girl in Sri Lanka who is a survivor of sexual abuse. Help her to emerge.
