Introduction

I am tall, well built, ruggedly handsome and listen to country music. I know it is hard to believe that someone from the Philly area listens to country, but that is the truth. The cartoon picture I use as my avatar is an accurate representation of me if I were a Simpson’s character, which is my life long dream.

I make things because I cannot give birth. Let me explain. When my kids where born I stood there helpless. All I did was get a little woozy. Their mother and the nurses did all the work. The doctor came in with a catchers mitt and was out of there in six minutes flat. He even did more work than I did. The doctor turned to me and asked me to cut the cord. I looked around and asked “don’t you think there is someone in here a little more qualified than me?”. He then offered to knock $40 off the bill. (True story) So in order to feel a little more adequate I have dedicated my life to making useful things.

If you were looking for a stuffy straight forward sales pitch you came to the wrong website ;-)

One thing I am serious about is making pens and cutting boards. I would make these even if no one bought them. I love the process, the wood and the finished product. I like it when people say “wow”.

I do not change the colors of the wood. The colors and grain patterns of the wood are an act of nature. I would not dare try to improve on it. After all it's not nice to fool mother nature.

There are about 175,000 species of woods in many natural colors and the acrylic acetates come in every color of the rainbow. If you have something in mind that you do not see in my shop, just drop me an e-mail and we can talk it out.
