I grew up in Utah enjoying many sunny days hiking and picnicking in the beauty of the Wasatch Mountains. I learned to ski when I was young and spent many snowy days skiing with friends and family on the slopes of Snowbird and Park City. The beautiful surroundings deeply impressed upon me an appreciation and love of the outdoors and nature.
Our family traveled extensively and the highlights for me were the art museums and gardens around the world. Traveling brought a lifelong fascination and love of art, history and learning.
I studied Art, Art History, and Design. I love designing and painting and have sold many of my creations. I've had extensive experience in floral arranging and have decorated and arranged flowers for many events, weddings being a favorite.
Shortly after marrying, my husband and I relocated to San Diego. Southern California has a beauty all its own. We’ve raised our three daughters here and love the climate.
We took up scuba diving and water sports, enjoy camping and outdoors. The Anza Borrego Desert has become a family favorite for camp-outs in cooler months.
During our many visits to Sea World and the San Diego Zoo when our three daughters were young, I found myself admiring the beautiful gardens and plants as much as the animals and found a new passion, succulents!
I started growing succulents and making succulent wreaths as a hobby and to share as gifts, later I taught succulent wreath making classes in the community and began selling succulents, wreaths and wreath kits. I’ve enjoyed growing succulents and making succulent wreaths for 26 years now.
