The very first apron ever made was fashioned from a Fig Leaf. That is how this shop began, my making aprons that were vintage-inspired or made from vintage fabrics. While creating things is still what I love to do, FancyFigLeaf has evolved into an eclectic mix of handmade and vintage items that I love and think you will love too! Thank you for browsing!
If you have any questions or requests, please convo me!! I would be willing to hold an item and am also open to trades, just ask!! Also, my shop is updated regularly, so check back often!!
While we prefer instant payments via PayPal, we will also accept e-checks.
Please do not purchase an item if you do not intend to pay for it. It creates a hassle for both sellers and the etsy admin to report/refund lost fees and relist the item. It is also unfair to us, as well as serious buyers, who are interested in an item for sale.
I ask (as does Etsy) that as soon as you decide to purchase an item, you submit your payment via PayPal. I understand there are special circumstances, so if you're unable to send payment at the time of purchase, please convo me and let me know what's up as soon as you submit your order. Communication is key! If I do not hear from you within 24 hours, I will relist the item(s) and cancel the order.
Please keep in mind that I will not ship your item until payment is cleared. If you are paying with an e-check via PayPal there will be a delay in shipping as it may take 5-7 days to clear.
A note about paying with PayPal:
You do not need a PayPal account to submit payment with a credit card. PayPal will also process a limited number of credit card purchases even for non-members. To pay using credit cards via PayPal when you don’t have a PayPal account:
-At check out, confirm your address.
-Choose Payment Method as PAYPAL. (later they will ask for your Credit Card info)
-Click on “Pay with PAYPAL”. (Ignore the box that asks if you have a PayPal acct.)
-Now fill out the section that asks for your credit card info.
We ship USPS Priority and sometimes USPS First Class, we generally choose the least expensive method and will always let you know. According to the post office, Priority takes 2-3 days and First class 2-5 days.
All sewing patterns will ship USPS First Class Mail.
We usually ship the same day that payment is cleared, unless the mail has already passed and then it will ship the next morning. We are always happy to arrange for a faster shipping method and/or insurance if you'd like, just contact us prior to purchase! In most cases extra fees will apply.
International orders will typically ship via USPS First Class, as this is the most economical way. Unfortunately USPS does offer insurance on international packages. If another method is desired, please contact me prior to purchase and I can provide rates.
Combined shipping is also offered. If you would like to purchase multiple items, please contact me prior to purchasing with your zip code and I can give you a more accurate quote for shipping as the price listed is an estimate based on USPS flat rate shipping costs.
Refunds and Exchanges
In most cases, returns will not be accepted. Please check measurements to ensure a garment will fit, as I cannot accept a return due to fit. We do our best to accurately describe and photograph all items in my shop. We thoroughly inspect all items and will list any condition issues that we find.
While we are not generally responsible for items that are lost or damaged during transit without insurance, please let us know if something happens. You may be allowed to return it for store credit or exchange. Depending on the item, a 15% restocking fee may be applied to cover Etsy and PayPal fees. Shipping charges are non-refundable.

Need a different size, color, quantity? We would be happy to work with you on a custom order! Just convo us and we will do our best to help you!
There may be some slight color variations between an item and the photograph due to a computer's settings, although it may be minor, if at all, please keep this in mind.
We recommend you wash any of the vintage clothing prior to wearing them. It is not always necessary, just a recommendation. We launder and clean up items before listing them. A great deal of effort is made to not compromise the integrity of the item at all, just to make it presentable.
We will reserve an item at a customers request for 5 days. If the item has not been purchased in the time specified, the reserve will be removed unless other arrangements are made between the shop and reserve holder(customer).
