Welcome! I'm Farah, an artist who specializes in whimsical art for children.
I LOVE creating an imaginary world with color & joy!

My "day job" is as a sometimes whimsical but mostly multicultural freelance children's illustrator doing art for books, posters, greeting cards, and educational publishers.

In my studio I use several mediums: gouache, watercolor, acrylic paint, sometimes with accents in pastels, inks, and colored pencils, on wood or fabric canvas, and paper.

Although I primarily do art for children, I am also exploring new mediums and themes, as in my Indian ink, and collaged mixed-media paintings on vintage book paper in my other shop "flame and shadow: http://www.flameandshadow.etsy.com
