Welcome to fattybird.
I am a printmaker and I create images using Old School techniques that have nothing to do with electronic machines and laser ink. I use sharp japanese tools to carve fine lines into soft surfaces, or draw scratchy lines into sheets of copper. I roll thick sticky messy ink onto these etched surfaces with a tool called a brayer and print those inked images onto clean crisp beautiful sheets of handmade papers with the help of a hand cranked Etching Press. This is my passion. I am very very grateful that I am able to indulge in this most serious and important work of PLAY.
