Piles of buttons, glittering glass, soft cotton thread in earthy hues, music, feet up, cats lounging, dog snoozing, leaves turning, wind whistling, fire glowing, my red floral wallpapered room enveloping, crocheting the way my Nana taught me. I use patterns from a 1940 book sometimes, belonging to my Nana's sister Cissy. She was a crocheter alright... rings with gold lustre thread, grape drop earrings, pearl ties!
When I crochet my necklaces, so many little pieces of everything I have ever imagined go into them. I love the process of choosing a thread, a colorful glass bead, a button, a design. This is the stillest moment I can find. Crocheting.
Thank you to my dear customers , I imagine these threads being worn in all the far away from me places. Love that!
