Fiber Dream Santas
fiberdreamsantas's Shop Announcement
What would life be like without dreams? Dreams and goals fulfill our lives with hope and inspiration. Fiber Dream Santas began with the love of Cotswolds, a rare and endangered breed of sheep from England, producing beautiful curly locks that were natural santa beards. We first fell in love with these manificant animals in 1993 at a county fair and purchased our first ewe in the spring of 1994. I have been raising sheep for 18 years. These beautiful animals were the inspiration and the reason that my santas have evolved. All of the wool is grown on our farm and hand washed and prepared to create santas and replica sheep. We currently have 20 cotswolds, wensleydales and teeswater sheep in various colors. Alice,Gus, Spirit, Brynn, Corbin, Choctaw are just a few of the sheep that produce the wool that makes my santas and sheep truely unique. Sheep need a shepherd to watch over them and protect them. My santas have allowed me to create from my home and care for my flock, inspiration constant in the beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina. Each santa is an original, signed and numbered. Custom orders with your fabrics, furs or old toys are always welcome, as well as color preferences, lists of family names and themes.
I am dedicated to pursuing my dreams and at the same time, sharing my love and talent with others. I believe that through adversity, prosperity prevails. I hope that as you look at these Santas that you realize that a part of myself has gone into each one and that they are not just a Santa or a sheep, but a dream come true!
Enjoy these creations.
Sincerly,
Debbie Trantham
