This is an original collage featuring a stag in the woods over a vintage book page background. The deer was hand-cut from green decorative paper with a subtle polkadot pattern. The small tree was also hand cut from chocolate brown linen card stock, and the forest floor is a soft mossy green with a delicate neutral polka dot pattern. This collage is an exact 8x10, and is ready to be slipped into any standard 8x10 frame. (I would be happy to point you in the right direction for an attractive and affordable frame) The book pages I used for this collage are what is left over when I make a hollow book jewelry box so that the pages do not go to waste. This is a one of a kind original collage. It is made from hand cut decorative paper over salvaged vintage book pages. (they are what is left after I make my hollow book jewelry boxes) The moose head is from a bright red block printed paper with gold rings. The book pages have been collaged onto heavyweight card stock to add solidity. It measures an exact 8x10, and is ready to be popped into any standard 8x10 frame.

This collage is part of a current series of birds over vintage book page backgrounds. The book pages are the remnants from my hollow book jewelry boxes and I was so excited to find yet another level re-use for these abandoned books. The book pages are collaged onto a heavyweight 8x10 card stock backing. The birds are hand cut with an exacto-knife from sheets of limited edition decorative paper, then adhered to the text background. This is a one of a kind work of art, no two will ever be the same. It is a convenient 8x10 so it can be easily popped into any standard frame of your choosing. (framing not included)

This lovely hand-cut bird composition is a one of a kind original paper cut collage. It has beautiful dimensionality and a lovely soft sophistication. This sweet flock of fuchsia and red birds are flitting from wire to wire and twittering softly to each other. They are each hand cut from a beautiful red and fuchsia decorative paper with gold details. All except one subtly different bird, which is red with gold rings, a quiet interloper in the flock. The wires are also hand cut from a rich dark brown paper. The scene is carefully composed and then affixed to vintage book pages decoupaged onto a 10"x22" cradled birch panel. The panel is 1" deep, looks extremely sleek and stylish on the wall, and it is already fitted with a picture hanger and ready to hang.

I made this collage out of tiny scraps of block printed decorative paper which I affixed to a 4"x4" piece of archival printmaking paper with tweezers and paste. The tree design is based on an early American design motif of a beech tree. The decorative paper that makes up the tree image is a mixture of muted natural greens and brown. I then mounted the 4"x4" collage on a 5.5"x5.5" piece of complimentary green linen card stock, which forms the green border you see in the images above. It comes framed, (a "nyttja" frame from Ikea), which measures 7" square from edge to edge.

This listing is for a one of a kind collage, frame included.

This large format original collage is evocative of the muted browns with hints of gold, as well as the big-sky openness of the prairie. The deer head was hand cut from beautiful decorative paper with stripes in earth tone and gold. The background of the collage is made from vintage book pages from a discarded book about birds and nature. The pages, and then the deer were carefully decoupaged onto a 20" x 20" x1" birch panel. It has been sealed with a fixative to protect it from fingerprints and dust, and affixed with a sawtooth picture hanger, so it is ready to go right up on the wall as is.

This piece would make a striking addition to any wall.
