Welcome to Fleur de 3, a design studio and online shop offering unique handmade albums and journals. How we wish you could see our beautiful books in person! Each is an original piece of art with a different story to tell each onlooker. Our customers tell us they are perfect conversation pieces for display on the coffee table or on an easel any where in the home or office.

As natives and residents of Louisiana, the fleur de lis emblem is near and dear to our hearts. Not only is it an historical symbol of the influence brought by French settlers to our state, but it has recently come to be known as the symbol of rebirth in the wake of Hurricane Katrina. You will find at least one fleur de lis on each of our items. Some are very obvious, others a little harder to find. Enjoy the search!

Each and every one of our books is a unique one-of-a-kind treasure. First, we hand-paint high-quality muslin fabric with a variety of fabric paints. Each piece is then hand-stenciled and stamped, then painted and stamped again…layer upon layer. Specialty inks are then applied to highlight the stencils and stamps. Our beautiful pieces are then embellished with beads, crystals, found objects, charms, quilting and metallic threads. Our original patterns are used to sew our hand-painted fabrics into removable covers for our books. Yes, removable! Once your album or journal is full or just a bit “tired,” the cover can be easily removed and a new book inserted. Be sure to notice the CD pockets that are sewn inside of the front and back cover. Perfect for holding all of those precious family, travel or celebration photos!
