My name is Cassandra Harris and I have had a strong interest in Japanese culture since I was a child. I began making kanzashi in 2005 and have been doing it ever since! For now, I mostly make simple, everyday kanzashi that anyone can wear.

What is TSUMAMI KANZASHI?
Kanzashi is a Japanese word meaning "hair ornament". Tsumami (not to be confused with tsunami--the big ocean wave) is a Japanese verb which describes the technique of folding squares of silk to create a flower (or a bird or a butterfly...) and is a very long-practiced art!
