Welcome to my store!

I love to quilt, but that wasn’t always the way.

Growing up, my mother always had something going on the sewing machine, clothing, coats, slipcovers, drapes. But I never had any desire to learn. My two sisters picked up my mother’s abilities to sew and sew they did.

My mother always had new outfits waiting for us on every holiday. Beautifully made, matching outfits for each of us. Both my sisters could equal her. At one point I decided to give sewing a try. Oh, what a disaster. I couldn’t even sew a straight line, but somewhere along the line I decided to take up crocheting and knitting and, to my surprise, I did quite well and enjoyed them both tremendously.

Years (and I do mean years) later, I had my interest in quilting piqued by a couple of co-workers who had made a beautiful baby quilt as a gift for a friend. I decided to give it a try. My first attempt was a very simple wall hanging. I was rather pleased with how it came out. I found a local shop that was offering a class for beginners. It was taught by a wonderful and very patient woman. I found myself thoroughly hooked and now, I have been quilting for over 18 years. Look at me, I can sew!

In my store, you will find hand-made quilts of varying sizes, tote bags, hand bags and more. From time to time, I will also offer items for the holidays. Everything is made with care, good material and built to last.
