Welcome to Generous Adventure!

As a designer and artist who splits my time between the relatively rural area of Grand Junction, Colorado and the ultra-urban environment of Los Angeles, I am in a unique position to witness and take part in the natural, spiritual, and cultural qualities of the American experience from a variety of perspectives. I work to find middle ground between seemingly conflicting ideas: wilderness and civilization, simplicity and materialism, stillness and activity, silence and language.

I work in a variety of media and explore ways in which visual and physical texture can enhance the emotive qualities of the surface. I see my painting practice as an outlet for personal liberation and self-exploration. I’m not interested in making broad, critical, political or cultural statements through painting, but rather I’m simply making my meditations visible and somewhat tangible.

I want my artwork to bring pleasure to others and give them a taste of the joy and gratitude I feel for the gifts of life and infinity that I witness every day in people and in nature.
