I sew one-of-a-kind aprons and other useful household goods using a combination of repurposed, vintage, and new materials. The vibrant prints from old table linens and the hand embroidery--especially cross-stitch on gingham--recall the eclectic mid-20th century mix of handmade and mass produced, practical and whimsical stuff that working people could afford and have fun with. Everything I make is durable and meant to be used! I create my own patterns, often by copying and adapting vintage garments. I comb garage sales and local thrift shops for inexpensive "finds" with the goal of making things that are affordable as well as beautiful and useful.

My goods are made and stored in a smoke-free environment. I prewash all fabrics with non-toxic, earth safe cleaning products.

In hunting for vintage linens to repurpose, I occasionally come across old items that are in excellent or mint condition. I will not cut a tablecloth that still belongs on a table or in someone's collection! These items are offered for sale.
