I have been doing art all my life and jewelry especially for the past five years or so. This is my first year of feather exploration but I have found that it is an amazing medium and I really enjoy working with this magical material. Feathers are a like a bridge to the heavens, they carry birds through the air to far off lands; they are an instrument of flight and expansion.
This jewelry is infused with the intention to help heal, excite, ignite, and empower those who wear it! Jewelry is my meditation and in this process of creation I pour love into each and every piece. I now use mostly precious and semi-precious stones in my work along with feathers, glass, and metal. I recently found a source for sustainable pheasant feathers and intend to move towards more and more sustainable materials. I am often attracted to “heart” stones, stones with qualities of healing, opening, and grounding the heart’s energy. I also like to spend time with all of my materials, blessing them, thanking them, and cleansing them of any negative energies they may have been carrying before they came to me. I feel blessed to be working with such magical and powerful materials and feel it is important to treat them with respect and reverence.
