A lot of my work is inspired by craft trends and humor — I like to poke fun at memes in the craft world. For example, my tongue-in-cheek indie craft trend prediction engine, CRAFTSarethenewCRAFTS.com.
My cards, posters and books are often made of recycled or upcycled materials, and I love using new old stock for packaging. I also love great typography and doing hand-lettering and transferring it to linoleum for block printing.
I learned block printing and screen printing in high school, and bookbinding in college, and kept up with it even as I pursued a career in journalism. I've been selling my wares online and at indie craft shows for more than a decade now, and I'm a full-time freelance editor and writer. I'm also the author of the Crafty Superstar books, business guides for part-time crafters.
