grandhorse's Shop Announcement

Heres a Little bit about me.......Debra Alouise, Equine Artist and horse owner for over 28 years. I am a Mixed media Artist.

My love of horses and dogs inspires my original artwork, business and daily life. Most all the Horses I paint are Horses I know. Each one leaves a Impression I will carry with me for my Whole Life. I am the designer of the Original Pony Pillows, which are featured in magazines and are in the hands of celebrities and shipped throughout the world.

Some of My paintings have been featured in "Horses In Art" Magazine, and you can see, "Major" Disneyland Draft on the tour at the Disneyland Park. You can purchase Giclee Fine Art prints of "Major" along with Original Oils here on etsy, direct from me, the Artist. My "Wild Bunch" Wildlife painting was juried into the Wildlife Show 2009 here in San Diego. Shown in the Gallery November 2nd to December 2nd 2009. Juried Art Show just completed, "Bath Time" Water Luvin Horses, and "Martha Nappin" March 15th 2010.

My "Sitting Ducks" was just Juried into the Wildlide Art Show here is San Diego November to December 2nd 2010.

My honest and proudest accomplishment is one of my web sites olderhorses.com which celebrates and honors the special relationships of others and their older horses.

I also needle felt wool pets, a sculpting technique, where wool is used to make a soft 3D sculpture.

I love hand mixing oils and placing them where they need to be and also feel right, to make each subject come to life. My walls are also filled with my art as it is difficult for me to let them go! When I hear your feedback after the painting arrives It makes me smile and Love painting even more.......if thats possible.

I am a self taught, humble artist, meaning, I walk away from my artwork and when I turn around and look at it, I sometimes can't believe I painted that. Its proof and why I know each person has talents and desires that come from deep within ourselves.

Many Soft Nickers,
Debra Alouise
