One of my first loves was a green '67 VW Beetle. I saw an ad for the car in a local coffee shop and soon it became my Green Bug. For the next 15 years, it took me everywhere and became part of my identity. I was the girl with the Green Bug. I loved it's design and it became the catalyst for my love for all things vintage!

I began going to thrift stores and vintage shops, soaking in the colors and patterns of vintage textiles. I found a thrifted, vintage tablecloth and made a tote bag out of it. i was thrilled! Without even knowing it, the seed for my Etsy shop was planted. As time went by, my Green Bug inevitably became a less practical car to drive. Although it didn't take me everywhere anymore, I decided to take it with me on a new journey. In 2010, I created a business I named "GreenBugBags." Eventually, I began to sew garlands and sell fabric to my shop. It made sense to create a new shop called GreenBugMarketplace as a place to find my bags as well as other designs.

Today, I continue my aesthetic of vintage, modern upcycling. I still desire to make art with vintage fabric and to give new life to materials that other's would consider dispensable. I have always loved art, thrifting, and creativity. Now i have a found an outlet to combine all my passions into one. I thrift, I upcycle, and I create. Where do i see GreenBug in the future?
