GreenRiverWoods's Shop Announcement
Asheville Art in the Park was a great success; two weekends in a row I practically sold out. Many thanks to everyone who visited and helped.
Each board and block, solid hardwood island and counter top, shelf and tabletop I make is created with a patient eye to be used hard every day, give continual pleasure and endure with proper care as an investment for generations.
Treat yourself to the elegance and warmth of real wood. We all deserve better than the generic, mass-produced and knife-destroying bamboo (grass) cutting board shipped halfway around the world, or the over-priced IKEA table, island or counter top. I work very hard to keep my prices reasonable and use reclaimed local and exotic timber whenever possible.
Whether you desire an original end grain chopping surface, chef-quality, non-scarring, self-healing and able to endure generations of use while keeping your good cutlery sharp, or something that is not a chopping surface, every piece is quality construction designed to bring out the unique beauty of whatever species and grain you desire.
Personally-tailored orders are my primary business, and I will work with anyone to meet their needs as well as financial range. Talk to me about my sliding scale for those with neither criminally high discretionary income nor a history of working for Goldman Sachs. Shipping anywhere is possible.
With over 15 years experience, I also do antique refinishing work/building/remodeling/repair/custom cabinetry/trim and finish carpentry locally in Asheville, North Carolina. Working relationships with several excellent sources of quality reclaimed timber, both local and exotic, provide me with much of my material.

Don't be fooled by the "green" bamboo or "sanitary" plastic.
