Hello! Welcome to my little shop; glad to have you pop in!

A little about me: I am a mommy to two precious kids. I donate plasma twice a week so we can buy diapers. I also have a (very) part-time job at a take-out/delivery pizza place in the town where we live; I like the break, and it's great for my husband to be able to have some alone time with the kiddos every so often. I love music, art, crafting, and chocolate. My love for my family close friends is fierce- they mean everything to me! I was taught the very basic basics of crochet when I was about 8 years old. Over the years, I figured out more "complicated" stuff by trial and error, and 19 years later, I still can't read a pattern or tell you the names of stitches to save my life. I suppose I COULD sit down and learn it, but with two small children (my babies are 17 months apart) and this little thing called Sensory Processing Disorder that kind of interferes with my concentration, it's not really happening. But that's ok- I like crocheting and it seems that others have liked it as well! :) So, the green*vanilla baby shop is more focused on the art of crochet, and aimed mostly and babies and children. I prefer to limit my materials to all-natural: 100% bamboo or cotton. Occassionally I'll use some acrylic, and maybe turn out a project or two that's more for adults, but my main focus is natural-content baby and kid items.
While hats are kind of my thing, I'm always thinking up something new; for instance, my latest "free-time" project is crocheted bamboo bunny. Maybe a bear next? You never know what will be next with me... :)
