All bags are designed, developed and sewn by me using fabrics and hardware sourced from local merchants in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. My bags are built to last. I make limited edition runs of each style, and they can also be custom ordered. I often include one of a kind pieces in my shop.
I started hand sewing when I was about 5, in between reading comic books and playing outside. A love of superheroes is what really prompted me to pursue studies in fashion design. I always wondered how the costumes were made. There's most always some kind of reference to them in my work. Some more obvious.
I studied women's wear design in college, and am self taught as a bag designer. In between that, I have worked in special effects costuming, custom clothing, and soft goods product development for various companies. I still occasionally do. If it can be sewn, I can sew it, and the technical challenge involved in developing someone else's vision is always educational beyond said project.
The construction principles of clothing are forever fascinating to me, and I enjoy applying them to my work. The majority of my bags have hand sewing involved at some point. I love nurturing the tradition of quality craftsmanship in my products.
