HibouCards: Unique Cards and Felt Designs

Hibou Cards (pronounced "eeboo"), takes its name from my son's fascination for owls ("hibou" in French, my native language :)
HibouCards designs are all hand crafted and are mostly one of a kind. They are inspired by my environment. My art books and my son's storybooks, as well as his "fascination" of the day, fuel my imagination. New England's nature with its dramatic season changes also inspires me. Last but not least I also get inspired by my native country France.
To make my cards (which are all blank) I try to use materials I already have at home like fabrics, buttons, threads, all sorts of papers I recycle, pictures... I also use much older materials I get from my grandma back in France such as silk and lace ribbons (from early to mid-20th century).
My felt Designs are made with eco-friendly felt or with a wool blend and roving wool. Everything is hand sewn, I do not use a sewing machine :)
