My name is Tiffany Tate and I graduated from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville in 2010 with a Bachelor’s degree in fine art and a minor in art history. While at school I fell in love with all things printmaking and textiles. When I’m not making things I’m probably either steeping tea, running around outside or at a bookstore.
I started Hinterland Craft in the Winter of 2010.
Hinterland Craft is about forging intimate connections with the world around me: my materials and tools, the environments that my goods are designed for and the people who take them into their lives. It’s about celebrating handmade and offering a socially and environmentally responsible alternative to mass manufactured goods. It’s about meeting people and sharing an idea that means something. We create to communicate. I hope that the things I make inspire you to explore and discover what’s worth sharing in your life.
