I am "firefly" (aka J. L. Fleckenstein), author of the "I Live on a Farm" blog, creator of ILiveonaFarm.com ~ lifestyle blog and website featuring my knitting designs, photography, recipes, fine art, and news related to my family's creative ventures.
This Etsy shop is devoted to my knitting patterns and related products. I strive to deisgn and write my knitting patterns with great care toward making them clear and easy to follow as well as highly aesthetic. Each pattern is available as either an online download or in printed form.
My shop is also home of the unique Knitter's Eye Chart, which many people have been ordering to hang in their craft room or office. The Eye Charts come in three different styles for knitters, and there is even a Crocheter's Eye Chart. You will find some other wall art for fiber artists here as well.
Another unique item to my shop is the Deluxe Biscuit Blanket Kit. This kit features the knitti5ng pattern for my original design, the Biscuit Blanket, which is a project similar to a dishcloth but designed to be used as a warming blanket for biscuits, muffins, bread, etc. The kit also includes a beautiful Espresso colored gift box, tissue paper, a full-color blank notecard featuring one of my fine art paintings, two recipe cards (one for you, one for your giftee) with my award winning southern style biscuit recipe, and a length of tulle for tying a pretty bow around the gift box. Oh, and of course it comes with all the yarn you need to make a beautiful Biscuit Blanket for yourself or someone you love.
The idea with the kit is that you can give the kit to a knitter on your gift list, using all of the gift wrap items to wrap up the kit, or make the Biscuit Blanket yourself and use the gift wrapping to present the finished item to someone on your list.
