Each of my pieces is made with love and care, and are inspected thoroughly for flaws. I am a self-taught beadmaker and utilize various methods in my beadmaking. Many of my beads are created using "organic" techniques. This means I manipulate natural chemical reactions that occur between the glass and the flame and glass with other glass and metals. Learning to perfect this technique has taken many, many hours of trial and error work, but is well worth the effort when I see what amazing designs come as a result of these reactions. This process also guarantees that the organic designs can never be exactly reproduced, no matter how hard I could try, resulting in one-of-a-kind pieces.
My inspirations are many and varied, and include poetry, nature, myth, symbolism, archeology, art, music and religion. I am drawn to unique textures, abstract design, and natural earthy color palettes.
I let my beads inspire my jewelry designs, and favor natural materials over synthetics - no plastic or acrylic beads will be found in my designs, except for the rare vintage bead from repurposed jewelry.
