You are all such great customers I know that you will want to help me be more energy efficient and keep shipping prices reasonable so I hope you will understand my policy change.

After evaluating orders over the last nine months, I find that small orders are using a disproportionate amount of packing materials. An order for one package of twine gets the same packaging as four rolls of washi tape or a 6x6 pad of paper. In addition, minimum postage for the bubble mailers – even for one ounce of twine – is $1.79 in the U.S when shipped in the packaging I use. So you can see that tiny little orders, while so appreciated, are not in the best interest of the environment or shipping costs (I don’t really want to raise the shipping on $1.00 of twine to $1.79 – much less $2.40 which would cover my fees on the transaction. )

So in order to be realistic, as of November 11, the minimum order here at itsalwaysfabulous will be $10.00. I know this may be disappointing to some, but in the interest of responsible use of packaging materials and keeping costs as low as possible, it’s the route we’ll be taking.
