My name is Jake Johnson, and I am a potter living and working in beautiful central Pennsylvania. Everything in this shop is made by hand. It is all made and ready to ship. My work is mostly functional. I love making pieces that are unique and also affordable for lots of people. I try to give my work a sense of character and personality. This is a full-time job for me. I recently moved to a place with a studio and kilns on the property, and I'm looking forward to making full use of them. I earned an MFA in ceramics from Penn State, exhibit nationally, and sell my work at art fairs, through galleries, and online.
I throw everything I make on the wheel, except for some trays and similar things that I make from slabs. I fire in a gas reduction kiln, salt kiln, and sometimes in a wood kiln. All of my glazes are food-safe and lead-free.

I am willing to ship internationally, but it will not be cheap, sad to say. Europe will be $28 or more. Canada, however, is more reasonable and I will try to get an option added for that soon. In the meantime, don't hesitate to ask for a shipping quote.
