jillvz's Shop Announcement

I make functional pottery that invites touch, interaction and treasured every-day use. Clean lines, understated glaze colors and Japanese-inspired brush and stamp designs distinguish my work. Find my work locally at Cloud Forest Cafe, Mishka's Cafe, the Pence Gallery Gift Shop, Redwood Barn Nursery and the Davis Food Coop.

Watch a 2 minute clip of me demonstrating how to make a wheel-thrown cup at:

I was recently profiled in the Davis Food Coop Newsletter, at http://www.daviscoop.com/newsletter/dfcnews6-11.pdf. Go to page 8.

You can learn more about me and my work through my website at jillvanzanten.com, or on my Jill Van Zanten Pottery facebook page.

All of my pieces fired to Cone 5 for high durability and are dishwasher-safe, microwave-safe and lead-free, ready for your everyday use.

I can usually ship within 24 hours of receiving an order. I ship Priority Mail, so you should receive your pottery in three days or less, no matter where in the U.S. you live.

Because of the hand-made nature of my work, each piece is unique and has its own character, though many of the pieces will work well together as sets. I add new work every few weeks as I experiment with different designs. Please come back and visit!

The photos and descriptions will give you a pretty good idea of what each piece looks like, but equally important (I think) is how the piece feels in your hand. If you purchase a piece from me and find it is not exactly right for you, you are welcome to return it for a full refund, minus shipping costs.

California residents will need to add 7.75% sales tax, which Etsy will calculate for you and add to your shipping.

Local folks: You are welcome to come by and pick up your purchases and save your shipping fees. You are automatically charged for shipping as you go through check-out, but I will refund your shipping fees through PayPal.

I am continually looking to try new ideas, and I enjoy receiving special requests. If you would like to order something not currently available in my shop, you might want to start by browsing the photos of "sold orders" (on the menu to your left, under Shop Info, below items for sale) to see the range of things I have made in the past. If "it" is not there, send me a description of what you have in mind and we will think together about it.
