Why have I chosen to work with brass jewelry? I love the look - brass has a fantastic golden glow that looks good with any skin color. Brass is nickel free, so it's unlikely to cause allergic reactions. Brass is also nice and lightweight. It can be kept shiny by buffing it with a jewelry cloth or it can be allowed to develop a lovely aged patina, depending on which look is preferred.

Along with brass I use natural stone beads, glass beads, shell, tiger ebony wood and other eye catching components. My general rule of thumb is that I make pieces of jewelry that I personally love enough to wear myself.
