Handmade by Joy: patterns and textures inspired by nature; functional and decorative forms, food safe glazes, microwave and dishwasher safe.

All pieces are handmade by me and thrown on the wheel using porcelain and stoneware clays. The earth tone variations you see on the surfaces come from the impressed or hand carved patterns and the wood and soda firing process. The wood ash, flame and soda vapor create the irregular and dramatic surfaces you see from side to side on each piece.
