Thanks for looking at my new designs in pillows and paintings. Plus, my new people. I am a trained graphic designer and I think that really comes out in my work with collages and pillows.
The most recent series of collages is called "family circus". Inspired by the comic strip and my crazy everyday life. The people (dolls) here also were inspired by what is called family today. They are very quirky and really fun to make.
I still have a few paintings listed here from the series "what was I thinking" Inspired by my chaotic, forgetful, multi-tasking, extremely cloudy brain. Which always seems to fail me, but never fails to amaze me.
Plus a few collages left from the series "the language of life". These are wordplays on everyday sayings, phrases and slang that creep into my memory or that I hear or have heard in my life. These collages are 12 x12"
The graphic pillows are hand-made happily sewn with vintage and contemporary fabrics, pom poms, trims and embroidery or appliques. The new ones have vintage, hand tye dyed doilies on them and others have graphic symbols in patent leather. They are named after girls I have known and loved. Custom orders available. Enjoy.
