Welcome to Random Things: A collection of things made by Jennifer Shell, and a few vintage buttons thrown in for good measure. Inspired by all the creative folks I've met, and a desire to send beautiful things out into the world.

I use things like left over wrapping paper and ribbons, used gift bags with great patterns or images, discontinued wallpaper, fabric from various pieces of unloved (or well-loved) clothing, buttons of all shapes and sizes and colors, much loved baby receiving blankets, stamps, tissue paper, mulberry paper, wrinkled paper, shiny things I find in the street that might have promise (not really), old and unused or unloved curtains...

All of my cards are one-of-a-kind. Even the ones that come in sets are each a little different; since I typically do not use the same exact materials in every card. They may be similar, but not the same. I put a lot of time and effort into my cards and each one is crafted with love and signed by me. Each card comes with its own matching envelope and all cards are enclosed in a cello-sleeve for protection.

I try to reuse or recycle/upcycle various items into my creations when I can, to reduce what might wind up in a landfill somewhere.

Mostly, I just have fun. Come have fun with me!
