What is different about a Gypsy Wrap headband?

Not all fabric is created equal. I prefer to work with quilt store quality fabric. I like the way it feels in my hands as I cut, under my sewing machine presser foot as I stitch, and the way that it holds up to repeated washing. Quilt store quality fabric has a higher thread count, more consistent color and lasts longer.

Although I own a serger, I iron and 'hem' each wrap carefully with a double hem seam. This prevents any unraveling in the wash. Also, having the hem at the edge of the wrap helps maintain the shape.

Gypsy Wraps are wider than most headbands. The sewn width is 8 1/2 inches. This allows you to wear it wide, fold it in half, or in thirds. I will gladly custom make a wrap to your width preference.
