Civil War doll clothing and Original Artwork

Welcome to my shop Kat and the Fiddle.
My name is Kat, and Im an artist, dolly dressmaker and doll maker. And when I have a free moment, I enjoy playing the fiddle.

The subject of my artwork varies from horse and pet portraits, to whimsical originals called Silhouettes, to vintage 50's style themes. I also paint scaled miniatures. Whatever inspires me to paint! Some of my work has appeared in Northeast Equine Journal, Dollhouse Miniatures, and I've exhibited nationally. Ive taken numerous awards in the Professional Art Division at fairs in both Tennessee and Massachusetts.
My mediums include acrylic, watercolor, coloured pencil and charcoal.

I also sew doll clothes for collectors, specializing in States War period for American Girl dolls. I am a Civil War reenactor, and have sewn period clothing for well over 14 years. And began making my own patterns and clothing for dolls after my daughter got her first American Girl doll.
Since I am a reenactor, I strive for as period accurate in my doll clothing and use all natural fabrics as much as possible. My doll clothes are handcrafted to be quality clothing to last the owner years upon years.

Being an artist and dolly dressmaker, I combined the two loves into making my own line of dolls. All dolls are OOAK (Original and One of a Kind). Some are crafted from clay, from cloth, paper mache' and combination of all those. My goal is not to just make a doll, but to make something unique that considered a work of art.
