Whether you are a new or returning customer I welcome you and appreciate you visit to my shop. Please read on as after two years of trial and error I have decided to make some changes that will benefit my business and increase my revenue.

I started this shop after success at craft shows making 18 inch doll clothing for AMERICAN GIRL and those from other collections such as Gotz, Springfield, Magic Attic Club, and others. I do enjoy making the doll clothes and will continue to do as my time permits but I will no longer be accepting custom orders for doll clothing, including dress replicas. My decision comes about as acquiring materials and the consumption of my time and amount I have to charge for the combination no longer benefits me with the success I have found of the quilting side of my business.

With that being said I will continue to operate Made with American Hands as primarily a quilting business, specializing in TSHIRT/MEMORY QUILTS as well as exploring other avenues for quilts as well as other sewing adventures as they benefit me. I always love trying new things and appreciate you who have already and will allow me to create your personalized quilt. Quilts are also a great way to repurpose and upcycle materials we no longer use into a personal useful gift! A great way to help us GO GREEN!

TSHIRT QUILTS are a great for graduates, service men & women, sorority/fraternity college graduates, preserving memories by using babies and childrens outgrown clothing to make a quilt, wedding gowns, dresses, old worn out blankets, etc. I have even done these for folks who have loved ones that transitioned yet they can't bear to give or throw their clothing away. ((DISCOUNTS ARE AVAILABLE FOR MULTIPLE QUILTS FOR ADDITIONAL FAMILY MEMBERS/SURVIVORS!!) Photos can be incorporated as well. If you think it can be incorporated it probably can. I have even done these for schools sports programs as fund raisers, including my own son's wrestling team and senior class. We sold raffle tickets.

GIFT CERTIFICATES WILL BE AVAILABLE SOON!

I provide all additional quality materials in addition to your memorabilia, unless you have something specific in your possession that you want to include with your shipment of memorabilia to me. Materials I supply include the stabilizers necessary to constuct your quilt & quality fabrics for the top and backing as well as the batting. I even offer custom binding now thanks to new equipment that speeds this process.

MACHINE QUILTING is included in your price quote for your quilt as well as your shipping when I quote you. As my business succeeds I hope to invest in some training and use of advanced quilting equipment to speed the actual quilting process.

Some folks have access to free shipping from some companies and I am glad to accept shipping labels upon completion of your quilt via email if you priviledged to this. Unless otherwise requested the charges for shipping are priority mail through USPS with delivery confirmation and insurance for the total amount you pay my company.

Base Prices for quilts are stated below and increase with incorporation of pictures, dedications, other embroidery lettering. Specific materials sometimes require additional stabilization as well.
