When I started sewing I had to sit on the phone book, and half the encyclopedia set propped up the machine pedal to where I could reach it. That was about twenty five years ago, at my grandmother's antique singer. Thankfully time has passed and I can now reach the pedals on my own. But watching those flat pieces of fabric transform under that black and gold machine, and come out beautiful clothes was the beginnings of a passion that has followed me ever since.

My true love is, and has been for years, corsetry. I have been making corsets on and off for about ten years now. I've been selling my work locally for a while with good responses, but after being laid off from my day job I figured I should take the plunge, accept the advice of so many people who have seen my work in person, and sell online as well.

I start with at least a dozen different measurements, resulting in a custom item drafted to fit you and only you. You are not merely a waist or bra size!! Will a corset with a 30" waist fit someone who is 5'2" and someone who is 5'9" the same? No way! And that doesn't even begin to take into account someone who may be full hipped, or have a narrow ribcage, or be high waisted... there are dozens of factors that determine what will make a corset fit and be comfortable. A truly custom corset is the ONLY way to make sure all those variations we humans have are addressed. An ill fitting corset is an uncomfortable corset. A custom corset feels like it was made for you- since it was!

Only the best materials go into my corsets. Zipper fronts will break and plastic bones will warp. For the strength and durability true corset lovers demand I use only busk closures and 100% steel bones. Two part grommets, in large or small sizes (your choice of size and color!), easily handle the stress of corsetry without popping free, and leave no rough edges on the inside or outside.

Years of corset building have resulted in my unique triple layer construction method, which produces a remarkably comfortable, sturdy corset with an inside just as lovely as the outside. Want a reversible corset? With front lacing or a closed front I can happily provide it! (sadly busk front closures are not reversible.)
