Welcome to my shop! I've been collecting crystals and minerals since the late '90s... not with any real direction or focus, but more just gravitating from one new obsession to the next and accumulating a variety of different specimens (though i do decidedly prefer rough natural pieces over polished)

Around '05 I started playing with sterling silver wire and gemstone beads, mostly because I wanted to see if I could do it. I didn't take a class or anything and this was before yt really was around, so mostly trial-and-errored my way through, focusing on simple designs and making lots of mistakes ... but it's always fun. Like an endless puzzle with gemstone pieces.

Turns out I liked making it twice as fast as I wore it, plus I wanted to play with things I didn't really wear myself, like necklaces and gold... so I started over-decorating friends and family, then selling extra pieces at consignment shops and craft fairs, and eventually made my way to etsy. As my eyes get older it's less relaxing to work on tiny jewelry details up close, but the raw stones themselves will always been my favorite.

I clearly have a thing for Fluorite and Amethyst (you could probably tell), and my collection is still all over the place in terms of variety and localities, but I only collect and offer specimens that are natural and untreated, from ethical sources that hold good working conditions for the miners and ensure environmental protection for the land.
