Welcome to the Kingdom of Nan shop, thanks for visiting. We offer for sale an eclectic assortment of HANDMADE folk arts and crafts from Thailand and neighboring regions in Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Burma. Each and every item has been individually selected as an exceptionally fine example of its type.

In coming weeks we will be introducing our First Collection, which will include

stunning necklaces made of silver and gemstones, designed and made in Thailand
Burmese lacquer
Lao and Thai silk scarves, shawls, and textile art
T-shirts embossed with Thai mythological beasts
sisal handbags from the south of Thailand, and other hip bags from Chiang Mai
embroidered pictorial art of Thai scenes in vivid colors
more pictorial art, evolved from shadow-puppet methods
suiseki (or "scholar's rocks") found in Thai markets

Kingdom of Nan (an ancient composite of city-states encompassing elements of Lanna, Lao, and Sukhothai in the north of what is now Thailand) is a team of Thais and New Yorkers, associated by marriage and family. We will be showing and selling our stuff at the new and exciting Brooklyn Flea (www.brooklynflea.com) in Fort Greene.

We are confident that the images presented here are faithful to the subleties of color that are essential to the character of the silks, stones, etc., albeit 100% fidelity cannot be guaranteed. All listings are handmade and, as such, may have imperfections or blemishes. We will endeavor to illustrate these within the images.

We accept returns with refunds, provided that

1. Notification is made within three days of your receipt of item
2. Buyer pays for return shipping
3. Item returned is received by Kingdom of Nan in same condition as it was shipped by Kingdom of Nan
