I'm Kelly Marks and I moved to NYC 6 years ago from a small town in Wisconsin. After 10 years as a flight attendant, I decided to persue my need to be a creative person. After some time dabbling in jewelry making, I realized my true passion was in candle making. Again, I'm from Wisconsin, where canning fruits and vegetables in Mason/Ball jars was a regular practice done by my Mother, Grandmother and neighbors. Fruits and veggies from the gardens and trees and foods from nearby farmers found a home in these containers. After they were emptied, they moved into our cupboards, Dad's garage and the kitchen table holding flowers. I thought it the perfect homage to my upbringing and small town roots to use Mason and Ball Jars for my candles. And, after all the travel and stuffy hotel stays, I just HAD to add travel tins! The constant traveler needs something to freshen up those rooms!

What makes my candles different than the others? For one, I add that great pop of color! Traditional white candles are fine, I suppose, but, add a classic Mason Jar thats a bold color and fantastically scented and you've got something! You not only bring a great aroma into your home, but you add some character to your kitchen, office or bedroom as well!
The wax I use is a clean burning, all natural soy wax and my scents are a mix of superb quality fragrance and essential oils. I hand make each small batch in my Brooklyn apartment. No employees or assistants. Just me!

As much as I loved candle making, I got an itch to also start making body care products! One thing that got me started was the fact that my Mother, sister and I all have very sensitive skin. I wanted to make products that were safe for us and people like us! I don't add any extra chemicals or additives. Anything I use is natural or as close to natural as possible and are needed to hold the product together and give it shelf life.
My lotions, perfume oil lip balm and bar soaps are great for people with sensitive skin and those of you that want chemical free products! And my Linen/Room Spray is safe around kiddies and furs alike! (my dog Servo and cat Crosby approve!)
