Hello & Welcome! My name is Kailey and I’m the proud owner of Dapper and Darling. I’m 29 years old and an avid lover of classic looks and beautiful graphic design. I live in Southern California.

After four years of successfully running KM Paperie, I decided it was time to expand and create designs for more than just weddings. This new vision is inspired by my always loving, and classically romantic husband Aaron. Aaron is my high school sweetheart and my best friend and a perfect inspiration for Dapper and Darling.

Before this, I studied designed for four years at Northern Arizona University for visual communication and design aesthetic. There I was taught to harness and conceptualize design as a subconscious way of life. I understood composition, the why behind why certain text and images look fabulous together, and embraced color as a blessing. I learned and applied all these ideals to what I do now. After graduating I took a job on the island of Hawai'i working with a passion driven ministry as their lead designer. As I designed for them, I learned how to manage a business and handle the influx of the never ending need for creative design. While learning all of this, which later I would apply to a business venture of my own, I began a love affair with the island. This island is also where the love of my life would propose. We were married a year later after moving back to the mainland on August 28, 2011.

Aside from my absolute love of design and my adoring husband, I enjoy being a nerdy, creative spirit. I spend time near the ocean whenever I can. I geek out to things like The Office, Harry Potter and  products (not just as a part time Apple Employee either), and have a strange obsession with old movies and the pandora music station, “Ink Spots”. I'm a gloriously outspoken romantic and can find beauty in anything while grabbing my sweethearts hand and heading out to into the world of unknown places and exploring life. One very important aspect of my life that makes me whole, is my relationship with my Heavenly Father. He allows me to be and do more than I could ever do alone. He created in me the ability to create beauty, and I take so much pride in being able to share that gift with so many people.
