I create pen and ink drawings to catch the details peculiar to the corner of France where I spend my summers. My passion is collecting images of things used, dented, scarred and outdated. I draw 18th century door knockers, rusty wrought iron gates, things that speak to me of times when things were made by hand. I poke through flea markets hunting for that which is used, re-used, and passed on for generations and I rely on my photographs to capture the details that make my drawings portraits of "eloquent objects".
