Frugal Victorian ladies saved pieces of luxury fabrics from dressmaking and home furnishing projects and pieced them together with embroidery stitches, sometimes embellishing them with beadwork and ribbons.

These Christmas stockings are made from luxury fabrics in Victorian crazy quilt traditions.

Ranging from deep rich earth tones and traditional plaids to jewel tones and pastels, there is a stocking to fit everyone you care for. And most of the ones you aren’t too thrilled with.

Suitable for men, women, and sophisticated children, some stockings are decidedly feminine and some are very masculine.
