What is Even Books?
Basically, books and booze make love. Then, they beget a regularly occurring night of riot and ribaldry; Even Books! Each event is themed around a different book, which makes each event quite unique. Sometimes there are hot young bands, sometimes handsome actors, sometimes bingo, sometimes 6ft guitars. Once, everyone wrote love letters and left them for strangers. Generally, people get loose and draw on the walls. The idea is to help people realise that books can be fun, and part of our everyday lives in a very real way. It’s normal to have social groups around music, and art, but books? Hardly ever!
