ART SHADES

Welcome to Laura Lights. Where unique handmade lampshades are made. All shades are made from rice papers and are Eco friendly.

My lampshades may be sold separately and I welcome custom orders...

Each of Laura Lights lampshades are made out of Eco-friendly, "Kinwashi" papers. Strips of papers are dipped in a (non-toxic) glue solution and wrapped several times around the frame, layering 5 to 6 times. When the the paper dries, it forms a tight drum-like sub-structure. The design is appliqued with colorful imported rice papers, then coated with a finish which protects and makes them very durable and long lasting.

I am always adding new lamps, so keep checking... I will indicate in the description if the lamp needs to be "made to order" or "in stock" Please convo me regarding international shipping or any questions.
