After battling acne for most of my life, being on medications, topical treatments, you name it, I decided to try mineral makeup. I tried the only one I knew of, the one from the TV infommercial. You know the one I am talking about! Soon after trying the makeup I discovered an itching burning sensation so intense that my eyes swelled and my eyelids peeled! The makeup did nothing to cover my acne, I had a weird glowing look to my complexion and my face was on fire! After much research I discovered the ingredients that were causing the reaction. All of the cheap fillers that the commercial products carry. And then I went on the sample hunt. I had piles of samples most were too orangey and too sheer or the wrong consistency. Being a perfectionist I decided to make my own cosmetics leaving out the irritating fillers and more than a year later I am proud to announce the birth of Lighthouse Minerals!
