I wish to thank my customers who purchased during November 13-19, I was able to send a substantial check representing a portion of my sales to Maine's Preble Street. Their mission is to "provide accessible barrier-free services to empower people experiencing problems with homelessness, housing, hunger, and poverty; and to advocate for solutions to these problems."

I have been a professional scrimshaw artist for over 30 years and all of my scrimshaw in my shop is made on a variety of currently available materials. You may see mammoth ivory, fossil walrus ivory, vintage preban elephant ivory, bone, shed deer elk or moose antler, micarta, corian and mother of pearl. Each material has its own individual characteristic and all of it is legal.
