Inspired by Miami’s Art Deco décor and vintage chic lifestyle, my second passion evolved around fashion. South Beach was just emerging onto the scene, colorful characters pared up and down Ocean Drive. The nightlife was vibrant and decadent. I grew up in a world full of these fascinating eccentric special people. These surroundings stimulated and inspired my sense of style. I developed an eye for spotting unique items in local thrift stores and flea markets. I began collecting and personalizing pieces, selling in local boutiques, shopping for storeowners and wheeling and dealing at flea markets.
Balancing the bohemian atmosphere of early South Beach, I spread my wings to NYC from Miami to the famed antique markets of Manhattan where I nurtured my signature style. Everywhere I went people would complement on my clothing and unique style. I was now ready for my first showroom selling vintage apparel. I picked a gallery in NYC, creating my own clientele following and personified myself. The showroom garnered a lot of attention from well-known designers, stylist and celebrities. This was where I took my fashion savvy talents to the next level.
In 2005 with my best friend and the vintage collection that I owned, we opened a boutique on Espanola Way in South Beach, Miami. With our vision we lovingly and creatively renovated this prime retail space turning it into our newly named store, The Living Dolls Boudoir and the rest is history..........
