Welcome to Lizzycakes, a shop with handmade, handsewn journals, cards, stationary, magnets, etc, made with love, wine, and whimsy. My items are all carefully created with love by hand, making each piece original, sturdy, and completely unique.

These goods are made right outside Washington, DC. All the pieces are made with whimsy, a feeling that I hope they in turn inspire for those that buy them.

So why journals, you might ask? I've been obsessed with journals since I was a kid, and have piles of them around my house, filled, half filled- etc. I started making journals for my friends, Teresa and Caroline, which you can see on my blog here [http://lizindc.blogspot.com/search/label/etsy] In fact, some of my first journals were inspired by these friends, who told me that they should be on Etsy. A couple of blogposts and I was convinced.
